Thin-Leafed Coneflower may be
easily confused with:
- Black-Eyed Susan
Black-eyed Susan has a much larger flower. Thin-leafed coneflower grows in a cluster. Despite the common names, the disc ("eye") of the brown-eyed Susan (thin-leafed coneflower) is actually the darker of the two.
- Tall Coreopsis
Tall coreopsis is generally much taller than the coneflower. The coreopsis has a three-part divided leaf, while the coneflower has a simple toothed leaf.
