Bugle may be
easily confused with:
- Ground Ivy
Bugle had flowers in a raceme (above the leaves), while ground ivy has flowers in the axils.
- Lyre-Leaved Sage
Bugle is darker in color.
- Viper's Bugloss
Bugle flowers are distinctly asymmetric. Viper's bugloss has prominent red stamens.
