White-Bracted Thoroughwort may be
easily confused with:
- Boneset
Boneset's paired leaves are fused around the plant stem in a very distinctive manner.
- Sweet Joe-Pye Weed
Joe-Pye weed is normally pink, though rarely white. Thoroughword flowers grow in a flat cluster, while Joe-Pye weed had a large, domed cluster of flowers.
- Upland Boneset
White-bracted thoroughwort has 3 prominent veins running the length of the leaf.
- White Snakeroot
White snakeroot as a broad, nearly heart-shaped leaf, while white thoroughwort has a more lance-shaped leaf.
We started out as wildflowers from the bicycle trails of western Pennsylvania, but we've
grown!
