Canada Hawkweed may be
easily confused with:
- Cat's Ear
The flower of cat's ear is much larger than that of Canada hawkweed. Cat's ear has only basal leaves, while Canada hawkweed had leaves along the stem.
- Common Dandelion
Dandelion has a hollow stem with conspicuous milky sap, and raggedly toothed basal leaves. The hawkweed has a thinner stem and lightly toothed ovate leaves.
- Large Mouse-Ear Hawkweed
Large mouse-ear hawkweed has a much larger flower, and basal leaves only.
