Smooth Hawksbeard may be
easily confused with:
- Canada Hawkweed
Smooth hawksbeard has a dandelion-like,basal leaf; Canada hawkweed has ovate leaves spaced along the stem. The flower of Canada hawkweed is larger.
- Mouse-Ear Hawkweed
The hawksbeard leaves are strongly toothed; hawkweed leaves have a smooth edge.
